2024 AMARI WORK PARTY & MISSION TRIP

We are once again going over to Amari in Uganda for a work party and mission trip in 2024. If you would like to be a part of the team, we are currently taking expression of interest only.

Dates: Thursday 1st – Monday 19th August 2024

Itinerary: Trip includes 9 days at Amari Community Development Organisation, a shopping day in Kampala, an overnight stay and game park tour, and a Nile River cruise.

Marita Simpson established Amari CDO in 2008. The aim is to reduce the effects of poverty, through quality Christian education.

The Amari school opened in 2011 in Kisiabi, Buliisa District, one of the most impoverished districts of Uganda. Amari offers an education for orphaned and vulnerable children. The school was built by local workers and children are taught by local teachers. The children are supported by Child Sponsorship.

Tim & Anita Young

Tim & Anita Young serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship in far north Queensland. Tim works as an aviation maintenance engineer for MAF, servicing aircraft which are used to rescue, assist, serve and care for people in need, throughout northern Australia, PNG and south-east Asia.
