Paul O'Rourke will be speaking at both the Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening Services, at LMC on Sunday 5th of February.
Paul is the CEO of Emily’s Voice, a Toowoomba-based organisation seeking to reduce abortion in Australia through clever and thought-provoking television advertisements and other media designed to change culture.
He joined Emily’s Voice in October last year after a one-year project management role with the Australian Christian Lobby and almost 10 years as CEO of Christian child sponsorship and advocacy ministry Compassion Australia.
Paul has a Master’s Degree in holistic child development and completed theological studies through C3 Victory’s School of Ministry in Newcastle, his home church.
Before joining Compassion, Paul worked in print journalism, including as Editor-in-chief of the Newcastle Herald.
He has recently released his fourth book, Why Satan Hates our Kids, a provocative expose of the attacks on Australian children, from abortion, poverty and abuse and neglect, to the sexualisation of children, breakdown of family and self esteem issues.
Paul is married to Janine, his wife of 30 years. They have three adult children and three grandchildren.
They are passionate advocates for children, having seen first-hand the effects of poverty, abuse and neglect and family breakdown on children in the developing and developed worlds, including in remote indigenous communities.
Paul speaks, teaches and writes widely on children’s issues, family and leadership.
